I had the pleasure of a sensational visit to Mosbach on 3 October 2007, about 65 kms from Heidleberg, arranged by Rudy & Fanny, one of the famous set of German parents.
Last year our attempted visit coincided with the local regional Harvest festival celebrations, during which we unsuccessfully battled thounsands of locals and visitors.
This year a different day was chosen, in fact it was the German Unification national holiday, so everything was closed & we had a superb view of everything. Rudy’s cousin Clemens & wife Rita, who live in Mosbach, were wonderful hosts, & I was priveliged to see some amazing sights:

More amazing hospitality from the German Parents during two visits in late 2006, first through September-October to present a paper at ICL 2006 in Villach, then through November-December to present at Online Educa 2006 in Berlin.
Both sets of parents extended their normal incredible hospitality and friendship, as seen by Theo shopping,
as well as hosting me on some superb tours, including these fascinating locations:

Although it rained for most of the week in Villach during the ICL 2007 conference, there were still enough opportunities to capture some lovely images in the immediate vicinity, such as:
View from the corridor of the Holiday Inn of the Nikolai Church & adjoining brewery.
Different view of the Nikolai church, looking down the main street across the bridge:

Well – my long awaited ICL 2007 conference in Villach has been a fantastic experience. Held at the new Villach Convention Centre – superbly built & located facility on the bank of the Drau river, linked to the sensational new Holiday Inn built by Alfred Weiss – enjoyed by many delegates.
Attended by well over 300 delegates from over 60 countries, & was a great success, in no small measure due to the excellent facilities, hospitality & organisation by the ICL team.
Some mixed weather, but didn’t effect the wonderful views.
